Uses of VORILASE
A triazole antifungal. Voriconazole is the usual first line agent for invasive aspergillosis and is also active against Candida species including some that resist fluconazole.
Its pharmacokinetics are non linear and vary widely between patients, partly on genetic grounds, so therapeutic drug monitoring is common practice in serious infection rather than an exception.
- Invasive aspergillosis
- Serious Candida infection, including in fluconazole resistant strains
- Other invasive mould infection, as directed
- Empirical antifungal therapy in persistent febrile neutropenia
